Mixing Business and Pleasure. Travel Log Prt.1 Mexico

We're drawn to Mexico.  An escape where you feel out of touch and yet totally IN touch with life’s simple pleasures. Where simple living in the sun and surf with good friends and good tequila is all you need. Mexico, you will forever be our favourite escape.
With all the amazing places to visit in Mexico we decided on Todos Santos for this trip, an hours drive north of Cabo San Lucas airport.
Our Stay.
Hotel San Cristóbal Baja... where All Good Things Are Found at the End of a Dirt Road.
Talk about an escape, this little hidden paradise at the end of the dirt road is no ordinary hacienda, located on a small fishing beach called Punta Lobos the entrance is an experience in itself.  The exposed entry way opens into the U shaped design made up of 32 suites,  at the center the turquoise-tiled pool and lounge looks out to the ocean on the southwestern edge of the Baja.  The decor has a modern seventies vibe mixed with a tradition Mexican pallet. The live garage band, rocked the pool area on Friday night as we walked in with the sun setting over the ocean behind them, just in time for that mezcal margarita we had been dreaming about on the flight down.
The rooms are spacious and groovy. Ours each with a big king bed, traditional Mexican kimonos and it's own private indoor/outdoor lounge space.
Some of the tastiest food the this trip was found at San Cristóbal's ocean front restaurant, Benno.  Mexican and Mediterranean styled tapas with the best fish tacos and cauliflower ceviche were served to us with our favourite margaritas as we’d lounging by the pool...heaven!  This made it very hard to leave but we did managed to head to town one afternoon a 10 minutes drive north to Todos Santos.
Todos Santos.
Todos Santos is an unexpected oasis of culture.  We spent the afternoon wondering the cobblestone streets popping into quaint artisan shops and galleries, and enjoyed a long sea food lunch in-between. To the south, beaches like San Pedrito and Los Cerritos are known for some good surf on the right day and to the north La Paz is roughly an hours drive.
La Paz.
The perfect backdrop for a few photos and an epic beach day.
The capital of Baja on the Sea of Cortez. La Paz, with it’s hot dry climate and crystal blue water was the perfect spot of us to post up with some cold cervezas and thank god we brought shade.
What to Pack.
Beach Bag. The perfect size, fold up bag. Our go to on a holiday. Camera, Sarong, sunscreen, sunnies, Marshal travel speaker alongside a beach umbrella and packed cooler and your Mexican beach day dreams have come true!
Cooler. Stay cool in the Mexican heat by drinking ice cold beverages from our easy to fold up and pack Cooler Bags but be quick they’re selling out faster the Speedy Gonzales!
Holiday Umbrella. There are so many deserted beaches to claim your own for the day, but you will definitely want to pack your B & P Co Brollie if you plan to post up for the day or even an hour! We designed the holiday umbrella for travel, light weight, easy to pack, a must have for a bit of shelter in the Mexican heat.
