Picnic Edit
Spring is here and we've settled into our second favourite season. The days are warm and you can almost taste the salty Summer just around the corner. It's time to head outside, catch up with friends and why not do it in style. Cheese, wine, maybe a Gin & Tonic... And while a lavish charcuterie board and drinks to match are important, so too is the set up. That's where Business & Pleasure Co. comes in.
After stopping off at Quince, our favourite local providore, we head to a secluded spot by the creek. A Beach Tent for shade, Beach Blanket and 2-Piece Chair for comfortable seating, a Cooler Tote for the refreshments and our Folding Table to serve. This is a picnic with style. Set up is simple and easy for 2 to carry, but that seems irrelevant as we settle into an afternoon of good company, food and wine.
The perfect charcuterie board is rather easy once you know where to look. A local providore store with high quality goods is essential, and asking an expert for help is always the way to go. Raf, founder of Quince, knows wine and cheese. He advises a manchego, brie, honey and chorizo will do just fine. Two types of crackers to accompany. He places them directly into our Cooler and we move onto the drinks.
Selecting a wine to pair can be a daunting task, especially when looking for something a little different. Quince has a broad range of natural wines and Raf suggests we try a natural and light Red. A light, chilled and easy to drink red that is far from just another rosé. This is why we're never shy to ask for help. There is room left in our Cooler so we add some Ink Gin, Tonic and a few sprigs of rosemary. An easy to make cocktail... Now you're in business.
