Absolutely! The Al Fresco collection is made with extruded steel that is shielded with multiple high-grade coatings delivering sturdy resilience, immune to deterioration from rot or UV.

Note that items placed in coastal areas require more regular maintenance. Exposure to sea air and chlorinated environments may accelerate deterioration to a product’s finish, so we recommend regular cleaning of your products to maintain appearance and guard against wear and tear.

We have our Classic and Clamshell styled bases available in weighs ranging from 16kg.-41kg. sizes with a pole diameter of 3.8cm-5.0cm. They are equipped to support the entirety of the umbrellas in our collection. Shop Umbrella Bases here.

Our bases are easy to assemble and include everything you need to support your Business & Pleasure Co umbrella, such as:

• Upright Pole & Handle
• 2x Rubber Pole Inserts (For use with the Premium, Holiday or Amalfi Beach Umbrella)*
• Base Plate
• 4x Leveling Feet

Base wheels can be purchased separately!

 *The rubber pole insert is not necessary for our Cabana, Market Umbrella or Patio Umbrella; they fit without it!

Amazing question! For any of our larger canopy pieces, such as the Market Umbrella, Patio Umbrella and Cabana, as well as for any setting that is prone to a little bit of wind, we prefer to suggest the 25kg or 41kg base! If you’re wanting to use the base with one of our Beach Umbrella styles, you can use the 16kg base.

We can recommend specific bases for specific umbrella types, but these are recommendations only, as each environment is different and may require different base options.

The cushions are designed to withstand the elements, however, we recommend storing them undercover when not in use to prolong the life and protect from dust and dirt.

All of our cushions are washable, and we recommend hand-washing only, following the below instructions:

1. Brush off loose dirt.

2. Spray on a cleaning solution of water and mild soap.

3. Use a cloth, sponge, or very soft bristle brush to clean.

4. Rinse thoroughly until all soap residue is removed.

5. Air dry. Do not machine wash or dry clean.

All Throw Pillows and the Modular Pillow Stack have removable covers, but the Floor Pillow and Reclining Pillow Lounger do not.

To adjust the recline setting push the backrest up or forward, you will hear a click for each recline setting. To reset to flat, push all the way forward until you no longer here any clicks and allow the backrest to fall flat. Do not push back on the backrest to change the setting, this could damage the mechanism. You can see the instructions for use here.

Our products are designed to withstand all weather conditions, offering UV, mold, and fade protection (up to 1500 hours of fade resistance). Pleasuretex® fabrics do not promote mildew growth; however, mildew can form on dirt and other substances if not properly maintained.

• Easy to clean – Bleach can be used without affecting strength or color.
  
• Made entirely of durable acrylic, blending fibers and yarn for long-lasting quality.
  
• To clean:

1. Prepare a solution of 1 cup of bleach and ¼ cup mild soap per gallon of water.
   
2. Spray onto the fabric, allowing it to soak for 15 minutes.
   
3. Use a sponge, soft towel, or soft-bristle brush to clean the surface.
   
4. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
   
5. Air dry completely before storing.
   

As our products are made with natural materials, it is difficult to completely prevent mold and mildew buildup. While the canvas is treated with UV, water, and mold protectants, this treatment will wear down over time. To prolong the life of your product, we recommend:

• Storing items in a dry place when not in use, especially if rain is expected.
  
• Ensuring umbrellas and chairs are fully dry before storing to prevent mold growth.
  

For routine maintenance:

1. Spray with distilled white vinegar to kill potential mold.
   
2. Let the fabric dry completely.
   
3. Lightly scrub with a soft brush using a mixture of salt, lemon, and hot water.
   
4. Avoid detergent soaps or bleach, as they can degrade the fabric.
   
5. Air dry in the sun before storing.

For tougher stains, we recommend using Tuff Stuff Multi-Purpose Foam Cleaner—a product we personally use and trust. You can find it on Amazon or at Walmart.
